In various times, under the direction of various ministers, UUCUC has publicized itself through public media. Starting at least in the 1950s, the church had public relations teams to place articles in the local press. 

On November 5, 1986, Justine Schoeplein was our contact with the newspaper. She submitted an article to the News-Gazette on an adult program series that would occur during the following nine months. Discussion topics in the series included The New U, an introduction to Unitarian Universalist theology, history, church organization, and activities; About Your Sexuality For Adults; Parents as Resident Theologians; and Cakes for the Queen of Heaven.

The meetings offered babysitting and the season concluded with a potluck celebration and evaluation.
