Drawing on passages from Simone Weil's The Need for Roots (1943), UUCUC member Elissa Blake will reflect on themes of rootedness and uprootedness in the context of our present-day political climate, invite a critical examination of our relationship to money, and elaborate on the need for a radically human paradigm of labor.
