Ean Behr

At 64, Ean has spent 62.5% of his life in Chicago, 15.2% in Milwaukee, 11% in California, 7.3% in an RV and 3.1% on a boat. Despite all this, he finds he is still not good at math. He is predominantly retired and spends the bulk of his unmerited free time in contemplation of beloved communities and the pursuit whimsical knick-knacks. He believes he is largely unannoying to his wife, Jane.
Jane Behr

Jane loves “home” (including husband and animals), whether it has happened to be anchored, parked, or tucked into a neighborhood of small ranch houses and big trees. She’s a die-hard homebody who nevertheless keeps wandering off in search of hiking trails, dive sites, and dubious adventures (which reliably end with her wishing she were back home). She and her husband moved to Champaign-Urbana and joined UUCUC to BUILD COMMUNITY, SEEK INSPIRATION, PURSUE* JUSTICE, AND FIND PEACE. (*Jane says “PROMOTE” is not exactly right.) They were also looking for good public transportation, decent health care, pizza delivery, and enough arts/culture/lifelong-learning opportunities to get them out of the house occasionally.

Phillip and Anne have participated in the UUCUC in many ways including teaching our youth in religious education. Phillip has also been an OWL leader for two years.
